State of the room in the morning
Thurday the 25th
Bangkok
In the mourining we went out to a suburb named Ari for some genuine Pad Thai. The food was good, and the locals were very helpful as we were a bit unable to find the place by ourselves. Untouristy area + thai signage= lost kiwis pretty much. But we got there in the end. Then it was back to the shopping malls, a different one. There are abut 5 on one street, all just completely massive. we saw anglelina Jolie, well the wax version of her anyway, and had a nice lunch in the food court (different to a nz food court, its actually propper restasurants not just fast food) to try some traditional thai food. I ate a chilli thinking it was a capsicum... not a good thing to do at all. but i survived! For dinner we were absoultely treated like royalty and felt so lucky, we were taken to dinner by the Blandford family friend Pat, Pretti and PJ. An amazing Chinese dinner, complete with possibly the nicest fish i have ever had, snowfish in a special gravy sauce. It was amazing. So a little bit more low key of a day, but that was definately needed!
